Nomadvember is here!

1 11 2009

Last November we became wandering nomads as we preached through Exodus, meeting in different locations throughout CCD’s property to celebrate our worship service.
Since we are currently going through Nehemiah, we thought we’d celebrate Neh 8:13-17 (Festival of Booths) by once again becoming nomads ourself.

I’ve included an ancient Jewish calender for you to see when the Festival was conducted (around now).

So enjoy Nomadvember!

“Great Endings – The beginners guide”

4 09 2009

Make sure you’ve finished the Bible by this Sunday when we look at the very last pages!

Or if you’re a little behind in your reading start at Revelation 22:6 so you can get a grasp of this weeks sermon as the curtain falls on the best-selling story of all time!

At least know it well enough to keep Matt honest as he talks through the final sentences of scripture!

2. The wedding – promises of belonging and harmony
3. The marriage – God sustains his people into eternity

Thanks

Joel

This week: Arthus Davis speaking – ‘Moving Day’ Rev 19:1-8

21 08 2009

Hey folks

So this week we have Arthur Davis, a theological student from Ridley Melbourne, and good friend of mine, preaching to us.

He’ll be looking at Rev 19:1-8, within the context of 17:1-19:10.

Please read over it before Sunday so you can really get into the text.

Thanks
Joel

Revelation 15-16: The Seven Bowls

12 08 2009

God’s final judgement and call to repentance through the final seven plagues poured out by His angels.

Will those marked by the beast repent or turn away?

Is God’s wrath justified?

Come along this Sunday night as we open up these questions in Revelation chapters 15-16!

Revelation 4-5: Creator and Redeemer

20 07 2009

What is heaven like?

What marvelous and wondrous things we read of in these two chapters?

Is John’s revelation a true picture of heaven or earthly pictures to describe heavenly things?

Is there a message of hope among all this vision?

Revelatio 2-3: To the Seven Churches

7 07 2009

“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” What is the Spirit saying to the churches? Who are the churches? and what does it all mean? Join in as we open up chapters 2 & 3 of Revelation to see the account given of each church and how that applies to us as the church of today!

This week: Revelation 1 – The Apocalypse

1 07 2009

The beginning of the end…
Or perhaps the end of the beginning…
Welcome to the first week in a series of 11 looking at the book (or should we say letter), of Revelation.
This ‘revealing’ of cosmic events centers around the return of Jesus.
While we wait for him, the struggle between good and evil wages on.
Which will win in the end?
You’ll have to read Rev 1 to find out.

Thanks
Joel
